I am so excited that after nearly 16 months of creating the "Yates family blog" I have decided to sit down and write my first entry... and hopefully it won't be my last:) Unfortunately, I'm not very good at recording milestones and funny/cute things my kids say so I'm hoping this will help, along with it being a great way for family we don't see often enough to keep up with us.
Hopefully I will figure out how to get my page looking cute and how to upload picutes very soon, but until then I'll just fill you in on our most recent exciting news, Mady and Sophie will be big sisters to a new baby BOY in November! We couldn't be more excited! Mady especially wanted a little brother and has made that clear ever since we told her I was pregnant again. However, I didn't realize how badly she wanted a boy until we were waiting for the sitter to arrive before I left for my ultrasound. I explained to her where I was headed...to find out if we were having a boy or girl. She then says to me "Mom, if the man tells you it's a baby sister say "Oh Darn it" And I said, "why would I say that?" and she says "because the other day when something happened YOU didn't like you said Oh Darn it!"
York and I are so blessed to have 2 beautiful, healthy girls, and a little guy on the way. We are loving this point in our lives raising our kids, and always trying to squeeze in a little "us time". Hopefully this blog will allow me to keep a record of these crazy years and share it with anyone who wants to know about them!
