Random update..

Oh man.  We've been busy.  I so wish I could keep to real time on here but I just can't.  I take too many gosh darn pictures then get overwhelmed.  So, here goes a random update of things going on with us before our big family trip...which is another story of overwhelmness (I'm pretty sure thats not even a word).

Jack got his first haircut, and although he doesn't really look it, he had fun time...especially getting that sucker at the end.

And here's my handsome little fella all spiked up..

For the first time ever York and Jack went to St. George by themselves leaving us girls and Jonah behind.  They had a fun time getting the house ready for our new co-owners, The Bitner's.  And us girls (and Jonah) had a fun weekend too...we went Frightmares at Lagoon with Britney, Aiden, and Lola, went shopping, went to Mady's soccer game, and to Oktoberfest at St. Olaf's.  I have to say, it was pretty smooth sailin' without our almost 2 year old in tow, but I sure did miss the little guy like crazy!

Here's Jack about to leave with York.  My "mommy-worry" got the best of me and I was SO nervous about the 2 of them driving all the way to St. George without us.  But, they did great and made it home safe and sound:)

Our first stop on our 'girls + Jonah weekend' was to Orange Leaf...

And then to the toy store...
This picture cracks me up..they are so different..Sophie picked her one thing out right from the start, and Mady took FOREVER to decide..I know she gets her indecisiveness from me though..

Fun night at Frightmares...

And a fun day at Oktoberfest at Mady's school..

Mady and her BFF Brelyn

Me and my girls!

And of course, sweet Jonah!

Reunited...not a better feeling than this!

And just a few pics from around the house...Sophie is really in to coloring lately, and yes, I know these are all basically the same pictures, but I love them all...her concentration and color style make me smile!

And pictures of Mady working on her homework...

Mom, what are you doing?!

And just to clarify...we wear a lot of red in this house, as I married a guy who went to the Universtiy of Utah, and we are big fans...BUT I will always be a Tiger at heart!  A pic of the kiddos in their Mizzou gear...

Happy birthday York!

Can't believe it's been a year since we were in Costa Rica celebrating York's 40th birthday with friends and family.  This year was much more low key, but still fun, and hopefully we were able to show him how much he means to us!  We are so thankful for everything he does as the head of our family and I couldn't be more lucky to have him as my partner in life!

A little overview of what we did to celebrate::

On his actual birthday the kids and I got to take him for a quick lunch at Tasty's, then York and I (and Jonah) had dinner at Park Stone in Farmington Station that evening.  Ty and Sue met up with us for a drink that night, then we headed home to have cupcakes and sing happy birthday with the kiddos.

The Friday before, while Mady was in school, we took Jack and Sophie to his moms and had a fun "day date" with lunch at Bruges and shopping at Trolley Square.  We never really do that sort of thing, so it was fun for a change!  That night we took all the kids (minus Jonah, he stayed with us of course) to Parents Night Out at My Gym and we had dinner at Corbin's and saw 2016: Obama's America, which was really interesting.  It was Jonah's first movie, and he slept through the whole thing!

Happy birthday to the best husband, daddy, and friend a girl could ask for...LOVE YOU babe!

Lunch at Tasty's with the Birthday Boy!

Dinner and drinks at Park Stone.  Have no idea how our waiter sucked at picture taking and made Ty and Sue blurry haha.

Cheers!

Happy birthday to the best daddy ever!

Jonah {3 months old}

How can it be that this sweet baby turned 3 months old yesterday!  Isn't it funny after your first baby you wonder how you could have room to love any more?  Well, obviously you can.  And you love them more each day, and it's definitely fun when they grow up and start to interact more...but there is just something about this baby stage...something that makes my heart overflow with love...something that I want cherish every minute that I have with it...
I'm the luckiest to have this little guy...

Jonah's Baptism..

Jonah was baptized on September 22, becoming the newest member of the Catholic Church - what a special day!  Have I mentioned before what an AMAZING family I have?  I am so grateful for Melissa and Shawn who flew in to be his Godparents and my parents who made trip as well.  Thank you guys SO much.  We had a fun weekend with the 4 of them visiting...only wish it could have been for longer!
