Father's Day

We had a nice little Father's Day celebrating York and the great daddy that he is.  He and Mady took off for golf in the morning with Ty while me, Soph, and Jack headed to the grocery store to get ready for our BBQ in the afternoon.  We grilled out that evening with Ty and Sue, and Breck and Preston and their girls.  Our kids had so much fun playing with Skye, running through the sprinkler,  and taking turns holding baby Lucy.

York is such a great daddy to our kids.  They are so lucky to have such a loving, playful, adventurous guy for a daddy.  They fight over which one gets to have him put them to bed at night (because I'm boring and stick to the routine...he'll tell stories from his head and give lots of extra cuddle time) and they love to climb on, wrestle with, or be chased by him constantly.  No matter how long of a day he's had at work, he always comes home in a good mood ready to spend time with them.  He is patient and loving.  He loves to take the girls on "dates" to the zoo,  the aquarium, or to the movies, especially when he senses I might need a break.  The kids adore him, we could not be more lucky that he is ours!

Warming up her swing!

Daddy and his babies

Can't believe we'll be adding one more in just 2 weeks!

Happy Father's Day, we LOVE you!
And of course I want to wish my own dad and dad-in law a happy Father's Day too...we are so lucky to have them in our lives!  York's parents were in Chicago which is why they didn't join us, and we are so looking forward to a visit from my dad in a couple weeks when the baby comes.  We love you both!

Just found this oldie but goodie, taken about 2 years ago when my parents were out for a visit.
